In recognition of World AMR Awareness Week (WAAW) 2025, the REVERSE project details its multi-pillar strategy for tackling antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in healthcare settings. The campaign highlights crucial interventions, spanning fundamental infection prevention and control (IPC), precise microbiology and diagnostic stewardship (MDS), and responsible antibiotic stewardship (ABS). Crucially, the article also discusses the project’s focus on Implementation Science, demonstrating how research findings are practically translated into diverse clinical settings, all while reinforcing the critical importance of a One Health perspective in securing our future against drug-resistant infections.
